Full Time Purrista/Cat Lounge Attendant

​

We are looking for an energetic, cat loving person who can help provide a memorable experience for our guests. You will be the face of Central Purrk when welcoming customers and checking them in for their Cat Lounge visit and take their drink/cafe orders. You will need to fulfill their orders (make drinks, heat up items, etc.) and answer any questions they have about food, drinks, and/or the cat lounge side of things.

​This is a full time position (average of 34 hours per week) working both as a Purrista and a Cat Lounge Attendant. ​

Pay will be commensurate with experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

​​​​​​

• Welcome Guests: Provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for customers

• Check-ins: Assist with check-ins for cat lounge reservations

• Guide Customers: Explain cat cafe rules and adoption information

• Process Sales: Efficiently process drink and merchandise sales using a POS system

• Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure the cafe area stays clean, stocked, and organized 

• Opening and closing duties, and making sure the front of the house is properly cleaned and sanitized for our guests 

• Safe Food Handling: Adhere to safe food handling practices/become SafeServ certified

• Take Payments: Process payments for drinks, merchandise, and other services

• Various other tasks as needed

• Prior experience in customer service is a MUST (people person, comfortable speaking with people about our cafe, our food and beverage options and our adoptable cats)

Skills/Qualifications:

​​​​​​

• One year of prior Barista/coffee shop experience required

• Excellent people & communication skills - should be comfortable engaging with customers

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and multi-task​​​​

• Team player who works well on a team
